Here are Jack Green's four NFL tips to consider for Monday night's game between the Los Angeles Chargers and New Orleans Saints.
New Orleans Saints (-7)
The Saints have started the season slowly but looked back to their best in a 35-29 win against the Lions in Detroit last week.
They should ease to a home win over the Chargers, whose 31-28 defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week was their third loss in a row.
Over 28.5 New Orleans Saints points
Saints quarterback Drew Brees has received some criticism for his performance this season, but he is the leader of an offense that has scored at least 30 points in three of four games.
Expect plenty more points against a Chargers defence that is struggling with injuries and gave up 38 points to the Buccaneers last week.
Justin Herbert over 265.5 passing yards
The Saints’ rush defence is excellent, meaning the Chargers will likely have to rely upon their rookie quarterback’s arm again on Monday night.
Herbert has averaged 310 passing yards per game across three starts this season, and threw for over 290 in all three games.
Hunter Henry over 47.5 receiving yards
The Saints have allowed 82.5 yards per game to opposing tight ends this season, which is the second-highest mark in the NFL.
They could have a tough time containing Henry, who has surpassed 50 yards in three of the Chargers’ four games so far.
