Kansas City Chiefs to beat Philadelphia Eagles –

After beating the defending Super Bowl champions in Week 1, the Chiefs should cruise to another win in their first home game of the season.

Kansas City were one of the league’s best defensive teams last year, conceding the seventh-fewest points and generating more turnovers than anyone else.

It was their offense, however, which was most impressive last Thursday night, as they tore up the Patriots for 42 points, six touchdowns and 537 total yards.

It’s hard to see them losing to the Eagles, who looked good in a home win over the Redskins on Sunday but lost seven of their eight games on the road last year.

New England Patriots to beat New Orleans Saints –

The Patriots lost in Week 1, but there is no crisis in New England.

Tom Brady has never lost his opening two games of the season in his 16 years as a starting quarterback, and he’s now taking on a Saints defence that couldn’t stop anything last weekend.

New Orleans allowed 29 points against the Minnesota Vikings, with Sam Bradford throwing for 346 yards and three touchdowns.

Given how poor each of these defences looked last week, it’s safe to assume that this is going to be a high-scoring shootout.

New England are the better team, though, and have to be backed considering they’ve had an extra couple of days to prepare, while the Saints are on a shortened week after playing on Monday night.

Miami Dolphins to beat Los Angeles Chargers –

Don’t expect the Chargers to make a winning start to life in Los Angeles.

Anthony Lynn’s team were narrowly beaten by the Broncos in Denver on Monday night, and are now on a short week of rest as they take on the Dolphins, who have had an extra week off after their opening game was postponed.

Miami finished last season with 10 wins to the Chargers’ five, and won 31-24 when the two teams met in Week 10.

The Dolphins were one of the NFL’s best teams on the ground last season, ranking ninth in total yards and seventh in yards per attempts.

With star running back Jay Ajayi in the line-up, they should be able to run all over the Chargers, who allowed the fifth-most rushing yards in Week 1.

Dallas Cowboys to beat Denver Broncos –

With running back Ezekiel Elliott set to start as his suspension remains under appeal, the Cowboys’ rushing attack should be able to dominate the Broncos.

While Denver’s defence was excellent against the pass last year, they were surprisingly poor on the ground – allowing the league’s fifth-most rushing yards.

Dallas, meanwhile, gained more yards on the ground than any other team except the Buffalo Bills.

The Cowboys clearly have the better offense of these two teams, and might also be superior defensively given that they only gave up three points to the New York Giants last Sunday.

Dallas only lost two of their eight road games last season, and should have the firepower on both sides of the ball to win in Denver on Sunday.
