Atlanta Falcons at New York Giants (-3) 1/1
After looking improved but losing on Thursday Night Football, the Giants have had extra time to prepare for this game and get healthy. So, after a long week, they get a home game against a team that has struggled worse than they have.
The extra days off likely benefited Saquon Barkley more than any other player. Look for the offense to flow through him, as he runs against a team that has surrendered 4.9 yards per rush. You heard it here first: this is the Barkley comeback game.
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans (-5.5) 20/23
Carson Wentz is currently dealing with two sprained ankles. Yes, two. He is unlikely to play, with Brett Hundley expected to start.
This Colts offense wasn’t great before, and this makes matters much worse. While their defense is solid, their offense does not have the firepower to cover the spread.
Arizona Cardinals (-7.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars 20/21
There has not been a team that looks worse than the Urban Meyer-led Jaguars. They have zero running game, the offensive line is unable to give the quarterback time and Trevor Lawrence has been the league’s most inaccurate passer through two weeks.
The Cardinals’ pass rush will get after the rookie, while the Arizona offense will continue to put up points in bunches.
Chicago Bears (+7.5) at Cleveland Browns 20/21
Rookie Justin Fields is making his first NFL start, and how fitting is it that he will do it down the road from where he played his college ball?
The Browns are missing Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. will likely not be a full go. On top of that, head coach Kevin Stefanski may be looking ahead to next week, when they face his old team.
This story writes itself and the Bears should certainly be able to put up some points in Cleveland. They are a live dog on Sunday.
