SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (+2.5) vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The NFL heads to Munich this week for the first ever regular season game held in Germany, and the Seahawks could move three wins clear at the top of the NFC West before the remainder of Sunday’s games kick off.
Despite being expected to be among the worst teams in the league this season, the stellar play of quarterback Geno Smith has seen Seattle defy all expectations. They’ve won four straight games to move to 6-3, and currently rank fourth in the NFL in points per game.
The Buccaneers have also defied expectations, but not in the way they’d have hoped. The 2021 Super Bowl winners are 4-5, and their offense, led by seven-time champion Tom Brady, is averaging just 18 points per game.
Tampa Bay needed a last-minute touchdown drive in order to beat the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday, and they’re struggling to get anything going on either side of the ball at the moment. The Seahawks are simply the better team right now, and look great value getting points here.
CHICAGO BEARS (-2.5) vs Detroit Lions
The Bears lost 35-32 to the Miami Dolphins last week, but will take huge encouragement from the performance of Justin Fields.
The 23-year-old scored four total touchdowns and gained 301 total yards, including 178 on the ground, a new regular-season game record for a quarterback.
Fields looks like a star, and this week he faces a great match-up against the 2-6 Lions. Detroit beat the Green Bay Packers 15-9 last week, but still have by far the worst defence in the NFL, allowing 29.3 points per game.
The Lions have allowed the second-most rushing yards per game of any team in the league, so Fields and the Bears’ running backs should run riot on Sunday.
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (-1.5) @ Pittsburgh Steelers
The Saints’ 27-13 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football was a horror show for New Orleans, but they should bounce back in Pittsburgh this week.
The Steelers are 2-6, have lost their last two games and are struggling with injuries on the defensive side of the ball. They rank 23rd in the NFL in scoring defence, and have been just awful offensively all season, ranking 31st in points per game.
As bad as the Saints looked in Week 9, they were playing against one of the best all-round teams in the NFL. They’re also just a couple of weeks removed from their most impressive performance of the season – a 24-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8.
The Saints rank 11th in the NFL in points per game and should be able to move the ball against this Steelers team. It likely won’t be pretty, but New Orleans look good value to respond with a win.
TENNESEE TITANS (-2.5) vs Denver Broncos
Despite a narrow 20-17 road defeat to the Chiefs last week, the Titans remain firmly in control of the AFC South on 5-3.
That wasn’t a bad defeat in Kansas City, considering the Titans were 14-point underdogs with rookie quarterback Malik Willis making just his second career start. Tennessee have now covered the spread in six straight games.
The Broncos, meanwhile, are 3-5 this season and are coming off a Week 9 bye. They had lost four straight games before eking out a 21-17 win over the 3-6 Jacksonville Jaguars in their last game.
Denver have really struggled offensively this season with Russell Wilson at quarterback, having scored over 20 points on just two occasions. It’s hard to see how they’re going to move the ball against a Titans defence that has allowed just 14.8 points per game over the past five weeks.
