Jack Green's best novelty bets for Super Bowl LIV in Miami include the length of the national anthem, the first song of the half-time show and the Gatorade shower.

Length of national anthem: Over 119.5 seconds 11/20

The first bet of the night should be one of the easiest to call, as Demi Lovato has given us plenty of previous renditions to research.

There are five examples of the former Disney Channel star singing The Star Spangled Banner on YouTube from between 2008 and 2017.

While Lovato’s first two renditions both clocked in under 1 minute 52 seconds, her more recent performances have been more drawn-out, with the latest at the Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor fight in 2017 lasting a whopping 2 minutes 12 seconds.

She’ll surely milk it again on Sunday night given what a huge stage the Super Bowl is.

Four of the last five national anthem performances at the Super Bowl have gone over two minutes, so this one should follow that trend.

First song of the half-time show: Let’s Get Loud 12/1

Given that Jennifer Lopez is American and has more hits than Shakira, it’s very likely that the half-time show opens with a J. Lo song.

With two Hispanic singers performing in a city with a huge Hispanic population, there’s bound to be a Latin feel on Sunday night so Let's Get Loud is worth a bet.

The upbeat salsa track was in the set list throughout J. Lo’s 2018 Las Vegas residency, and she’s performed it in a stadium before at the 1999 Women’s World Cup.

If You Had My Love also looks a great shout at a huge price.

J. Lo's debut single was the opener in all of her Las Vegas shows and remains one of her biggest hits ever.

Last song of the half-time show: On the Floor 6/1

The half-time show always ends with a banger.

Maroon 5 closed the show with Moves Like Jagger last year, Justin Timberlake ended with Can’t Stop the Feeling in 2018 and Bad Romance was Lady Gaga’s closer in 2017.

The most obvious choice is usually the right one, so On the Floor – J. Lo’s biggest hit – is the one to back.

The dance anthem was J. Lo’s closing song during both her 2018 Vegas residency and 2019 world tour.

Number of in-game Donald Trump tweets: Over 2.5 4/5

Trump loves a tweet during the Super Bowl, and he should be particularly active this year as he’s bought an advertising spot during the game.

He tweeted three times during last year’s stinker between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams, so over 2.5 tweets this time around looks a safe bet.

Donald Trump to congratulate winning team on Twitter: Yes 1/3

Trump congratulates the Super Bowl champions almost every year.

He didn’t bother when the Patriots triumphed last year, but that game was so terrible that he’d probably switched it off by the end.

Trump should return to his old ways on Sunday, particularly if the San Francisco 49ers win, as he’s a noted fan of star defensive lineman Nick Bosa.

Gatorade shower colour: Orange 7/2

Occasionally one of the teams in the Super Bowl will drop a hint about which Gatorade they prefer, but both sides have kept their choice a secret so far this year.

Red is currently the favourite in this market – perhaps because Chiefs coach Andy Reid has been pictured with Fruit Punch flavour in press conferences – but no winning coach has been doused in red Gatorade in the past 20 years.

Blue has appeared twice in recent years, both after games won by the New England Patriots.

But orange is often the colour of choice. On the last eight occasions that there’s been a triumphant Gatorade shower, orange has been used four times.
