Detroit Lions to beat Chicago Bears (18:00)

The Lions lost last week and are now 3-4 since tying with the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1. However, the four teams that have beaten them have a combined record of 23-12.

Detroit have averaged 28 points over their last three games and should outscore the Bears’ terrible offense.

Chicago have lost four successive games, and have scored 16 points or fewer in five of their eight games this season.

Buffalo Bills to beat Cleveland Browns (18:00)

The Bills cruised to a 24-9 win over the Washington Redskins last week, meaning they’re now 6-2 for the season and looking good for a playoff spot.

The Browns, meanwhile, are an absolute mess, having lost four consecutive games.

Cleveland have lost three out of three at home this year and there’s no reason at all to back them as favourites.

New York Giants to beat New York Jets (18:00)

The Giants are on a five-game losing streak after being beaten 37-18 by the Dallas Cowboys last Monday, but a meeting with potentially the league’s worst team should get them back on track.

The Jets lost to the Miami Dolphins last week – a team deliberately trying to tank for a high draft pick – and could now be without star running back Le’Veon Bell, who is dealing with a knee injury.

That doesn’t bode well for an offense that has failed to score 20 points in seven of eight games this season.

Green Bay Packers to beat Carolina Panthers (21:25)

The Packers were stunned by the Los Angeles Chargers last week but should bounce back at Lambeau Field on Sunday, having won four of their five home games this season.

Carolina won last week, but quarterback Kyle Allen struggled in their most-recent away game, a 51-13 defeat against the San Francisco 49ers.

The 23-year-old now travels to one of the most formidable stadiums in the NFL to face the league’s sixth-best pass defence.
