Here are Jack Green's NFL predictions for the first week of the season, which make up a 13/2 four-fold.

Seattle Seahawks to beat Atlanta Falcons

The Seahawks reached the playoffs last season thanks mainly to their 7-1 away record, and they open the new campaign with a trip to Atlanta to face a Falcons team that went 3-5 at home in 2019.

Both of these teams conceded 24.9 points per game last season but Seattle had the edge offensively, scoring an average of 25.3 points compared to the Falcons’ 23.8.

The Seahawks are the more rounded team here and have a record of grinding out close wins over similar teams. They went 10-2 in games decided by a margin of one score last season, with one of those victories coming in Atlanta in Week 8.

Buffalo Bills to beat New York Jets

The Bills earned a surprise playoff spot last season and now look poised to be even better this year after adding receiver Stefon Diggs and rookie running back Zack Moss to their offense.

Buffalo beat the Jets on the road in Week 1 last season before resting their starters for the meaningless reverse fixture in Week 17, when they already had a playoff berth locked up.

The Bills’ defence was the second-best in the NFL in 2019, and their offensive additions should help them comfortably beat a Jets team that went 2-6 on the road last year.

Green Bay Packers to beat Minnesota Vikings

The Packers beat the Vikings in both their regular season games last year en route to a 13-3 record and a playoff berth.

Green Bay struggled to stop the run but their pass defence was excellent, and they held the Vikings to just 26 points and 352 passing yards across their two meetings.

In what should be another low-scoring battle, expect the Packers’ defence to put the pressure on once again and star quarterback Aaron Rodgers to guide them to victory.

New Orleans Saints to beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Saints have had the Buccaneers’ number in recent years, winning 13 of the last 17 meetings between these teams, including both last season.

Tampa Bay have a new-look offense led by four-time MVP Tom Brady this year, but, with no preseason, there’s a good chance they don’t immediately gel against a fearsome Saints defence.

New Orleans are one of the few teams who can also match the Buccaneers’ offensive weapons, and they have a 19-5 record at home over the past three seasons.
