New York Giants +3.5

Home teams have fared well in Thursday night games this season, with four of five beating the spread and all five winning outright.

The Eagles have dominated this rivalry in recent years, but each of the last five meetings between these teams have been decided by a margin of five points or fewer.

Philadelphia have lost both of their away games this season and are coming off back-to-back defeats, so backing the Giants to take advantage of the short week and keep this within a field goal is the way to go.

Under 43.5 total points

With thunderstorms expected in East Rutherford on Thursday, it’s unlikely that either offense gets much going.

Philadelphia have struggled to move the ball in 2018, having failed to score more than 23 points in a game so far, and they lost starting running back Jay Ajayi to an ACL injury this week.

The Giants haven’t scored more than 18 points in either of their two home games this season, so Thursday night’s game will is likely be low-scoring.

Saquon Barkley under 64.5 rushing yards

Rookie running back Barkley rushed for 106 yards in Week 1, but he’s only broken the 50 mark once since.

The first-round draft pick gained just 48 yards on the ground against the Carolina Panthers last Sunday, 30 of which came on a single run, and he might not be at 100 per cent on Thursday night after tweaking something in his back during that game.

Expect a difficult outing for Barkley against the Eagles, who have allowed the second-fewest rushing yards per game this season.

Odell Beckham Jr over 87.5 receiving yards

Beckham criticised the Giants offense and the play of quarterback Eli Manning before last week’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

The result? Fourteen targets for the star wide receiver and the Giants’ first 30-point game since 2015.

Beckham’s gone over the 100-yard mark three times already this season, and it’s safe to expect another big game from the 25-year-old after the Eagles gave up 207 yards to the Minnesota Vikings’ receiver tandem of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs last week.
