Sidney Crosby to score 2+ points vs Montreal 

It’s been a tough start to the year for Crosby as he began the season injured and then had to deal with a COVID diagnosis. He’s back now, though, and has historically done very well against the Montreal Canadiens, the team he grew up cheering for. He has 52 career points in 40 games against the Habs.

He hasn’t played against Montreal since the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He had two goals and an assist through four games in that series. In the one regular-season meeting, he had three assists in a Penguins win.

In the three games he’s played, Crosby has just one assist so far. I’d expect to see him bring a little extra to the ice for this one.

Nick Suzuki to have over 2.5 shots on goal vs Pittsburgh 

Montreal has been really hard to watch, but Suzuki’s game has really picked up in the last few weeks. He’s currently in the midst of a three-game pointless streak, but in had multi-point games in four of his five games before this recent dip.

One of the common themes in those games was his ability to generate a lot of shots on goal. He has had three or more shots on goal in six of his last eight games and is one of the few offensive bright spots for a team that has had trouble generating anything of late.

Connor McDavid to score 2+ points vs Winnipeg 

The Oilers captain has been a menace to opposing teams on home ice this season with 16 points in seven games in Rogers Place. That’s an average of two points per game. I’d be even a little tempted to consider adding a little risk and betting on McDavid to score 3+ points.

He's currently second in the league in total points behind teammate Leon Draisaitl, but is first in assists with 19. With the Oilers on home ice, I’d expect the points to come in bunches for both McDavid and Draisaitl.

Zach Hyman anytime goal scorer vs Winnipeg 

With eight goals in 15 games so far this season, Hyman is scoring at a career-high pace at the moment. His last goal came three games ago against Boston, but he’s been especially productive throughout the season. Hyman also had three shots on goal against the Jets in Tuesday’s game. Though he didn’t find the score-sheet he was a threat.

Playing alongside Connor McDavid would make anyone look good, but Hyman has been particularly effective. His ability to win battles and provide some net-front presence allows for easier goals. With the Oilers on home ice and controlling the matchups a bit more, I’d expect Hyman to be a factor.
