Chris Kreider anytime goal scorer vs Columbus

There has not been a hotter goal scorer in the NHL than Kreider. He and the Rangers are going head-to-head with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night and Kreider has had their number this season. The Rangers sniper scored two goals in each of the previous two meetings between these two sides.

On top of that, Kreider is riding a six-game goal-scoring streak over which he has found the back of the net nine times. The thing about streaks is that they inevitably end. Kreider’s will, too, but I don’t think it’s going to happen against a Blue Jackets side he’s been all over this year. In those two previous contests, Kreider also has 12 shots on goal. I like his chances.

Connor McDavid to score 2+ points vs Nashville

After putting up two points in each of his last two games, the flood gates may open once again for the league’s most electrifying player. McDavid has shaken off his three-game pointless streak and is helping the Oilers turn the tide of their season.

Historically, McDavid has done quite well against Nashville. He had two assists in the last meeting between these two teams and has 20 points in 14 career games against the Preds.

If you’re looking to juice a little more value, you could consider the McDavid to score 3+ points, but I feel more comfortable sticking with two.

Andrei Svechnikov to score 2+ points vs Ottawa

With two points in five straight games and in seven of his last nine, Svechnikov has been the picture of consistency. No matter the opponent, the 21-year-old Russian winger has been a force. He is a point-per-game player this season with 36 points in 36 games and is on pace to surpass all of his career bests.

The Hurricanes are playing a Senators squad that is dealing with some key injuries. Svechnikov scored a goal in the prior meeting between these two teams. Just like with Kreider, I know a streak has to end at some point, but watching Svechnikov of late gives me a little more confidence that he’ll stretch that streak one more day.

Andrew Mangiapane anytime goal scorer vs St. Louis

Owner of one of the most bizarre statlines in the NHL with 18 goals on the road and just one on home ice, Mangiapane has been very consistent away from home. His 19 goals surpass his previous career high and he’s on the cusp of his first 20-goal season.

Mangiapane has never scored against the St. Louis Blues and just went through the longest goal drought of his season to date before popping one in against the Blue Jackets Wednesday.

Earlier in the season, he would score goals in consecutive games on the regular, but hasn’t done so in about two months. Perhaps tonight is the night he gets back to scoring in bunches.
