Toronto Maple Leafs to win 

The Maple Leafs and Oilers are both top-heavy teams, with highly-paid star forwards driving their success, but the Leafs have been rounding into shape of late with their depth players beginning to contribute.

The Oilers on the other hand, don’t get much help from their depth at all.

Neither team is getting great goaltending on the whole so far, but Frederik Andersen has at least been decent in his last four starts, while Mikko Koskinen is having trouble stringing good starts together back-to-back.

Over 6.5 total goals 

Both the Leafs and Oilers offences are heating up a bit, but neither are great defensively, or getting great goaltending. 

Although both recent games between them ended up with very little scoring, the recipe for a bunch of goals is there.

The Oilers are particularly vulnerable - Mike Smith's injury is forcing Koskinen into a heavy workload - though the Leafs could be in a similar situation shortly after Jack Campbell was injured against the Calgary Flames.

Connor McDavid to score 2+ points 

The NHL's best offensive threat is heating up, and will ride a four-game point streak into this one.

The Oilers and Maple Leafs played conservatively against each other recently, but neither team is great defensively, and McDavid should have plenty of opportunities to get points.

Auston Matthews to score 2+ points 

He hasn’t had any explosive performances yet, but Auston Matthews has put up a point in all but one game this season, and is second in the league in goals above replacement contributed by offence.

Matthews is due to explode any moment, and facing a team that allows goals in bunches like the Oilers sounds like a good time for it.
