Toronto Maple Leafs to win 1.80
Are the Vancouver Canucks this bad?
A few games against the Senators gave the appearance of a turnaround, but a couple against the Canadiens put them right back in the hole.
The Leafs, meanwhile, lost their most recent game against the Oilers but had won four straight prior to that.
Over 6.5 total goals 1.80
The Canucks have some scoring power, and have been getting lit up almost constantly on their end. The Maple Leafs have an even stronger offence, and goaltender Frederik Andersen hasn’t managed a save percentage over .900 once in his last three games.
Heavy star power on offence, mediocre goaltending and poor defence on both sides? A perfect mix for high entertainment and lots of goals.
Auston Matthews to score a goal 1.95
Matthews is riding a five-game scoring streak coming into this one, with Sheldon Keefe leaning on the young phenom more than ever before - he's played upwards of 24 minutes in a few games so far.
The inevitable result of playing one of the game’s best shooters more is going to be more goals, and the Canucks are ripe for allowing that to happen.
Quinn Hughes to score 2+ points 4.25
The NHL’s points leader among defencemen, Quinn Hughes has been an assist machine so far this season. He has been held without a point in just five of 13 contests thus far, and each time he’s got himself back on the board, he’s followed up with at least another point in the next game.
After being held pointless in three straight, he tallied three assists in his last outing against the Canadiens. There should be plenty of opportunity to get on the scoreboard in this one, too.
#BETYOURWAY: Toronto to win, over 6.5 goals, Auston Matthews to score anytime, Quinn Hughes to score 2+ points 15.00
