ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA (Saturday, 15:00)

England to win by 11-20 points –

Three of England’s four victories over Australia since the summer of 2016 have fallen within this margin, as did their scratchy win against Argentina last weekend.

Over 5.5 tries –

Games involving the Wallabies don’t tend to be boring.

Last week’s win over Wales, five of their six Rugby Championship games and three of their last four games against England all produced at least six tries.

Jonathan Joseph to score a try at any time –

Joseph has scored three tries in his last four games against Australia, so it’s easy to see why Eddie Jones has stuck with him at 13 rather than move Henry Slade across.

WALES v GEORGIA (Saturday, 14:00)

Georgia (+18) –

Wales don’t tend to put Tier 2 nations to the sword. They needed a late drop goal to beat Japan last autumn, and their much-changed team is unlikely to run riot against a Georgia side that only lost by 16 points to Argentina in the summer.

Forward to score the first try –

Forwards scored the first four tries in Wales’ game against Australia last weekend, and a similar scenario is likely on Saturday, when dominance will need to be established in the pack first and foremost.

SCOTLAND v NEW ZEALAND (Saturday, 17:15)

New Zealand to score over 40.5 points –

The All Blacks fell just short of the same mark last weekend with 38 points against France, but should easily surpass it this time around against a Scotland side that shipped 38 against Samoa.

Highest scoring half: 1^st half –

New Zealand scored a combined total of 100 points in the first half of recent games against France, Argentina and Australia, compared to just 20 in the second.

With this game also likely to be wrapped up by the interval, don’t be surprised if they ease off again.

IRELAND v FIJI (Saturday, 17:30)

Ireland to score over 50.5 points –

Ireland have already put 50 points on Japan, USA and Italy this calendar year and, even with a much-changed team, could still cut loose against a Fiji side that were beaten by the Azzurri last weekend.

Leone Nakarawa to score a try at any time – 

Nakarawa has scored in his last three outings for Fiji, as well as Racing 92’s victory over Leicester last month.

It’s well worth backing the talismanic second row to continue his recent hot streak.

FRANCE v SOUTH AFRICA (Saturday, 20:00)

South Africa to win –

South Africa were woefully limited against Ireland but, having whitewashed France 3-0 in the summer, are worth backing to turn things around against a team that willingly play into their hands by trying to take them on in an arm wrestle.

Jesse Kriel to score a try at any time –

Kriel scored two in two against Les Bleus over the summer, and has a good chance of maintaining that perfect record against a defence that conceded three tries to outside backs last weekend.
