ENGLAND v ARGENTINA (Saturday, 15.00)

England to score over 3.5 tries –

England crossed the line four times in each of their summer Tests against Argentina, who have conceded at least four tries in all seven of their matches since.

Under 1.5 yellow cards  –

England haven’t had a player sin-binned in six matches. Argentina only received more than a single card once during a testing Rugby Championship.

Semesa Rokoduguni to score a try at any time –

Elliot Daly’s recent knee injury and Eddie Jones’ desire to use his British and Irish Lions sparingly means the Premiership’s top try scorer should see plenty of action as the game breaks up. 

SCOTLAND v SAMOA (Saturday, 14.30)

Samoa (+16.5) –

Scotland are big favourites for this game but, with their lengthy injury list, there’s value in backing Samoa to keep it tight, as they have done in their last five games against the Scots.

First scoring play: Scotland penalty –

Scotland will look to build a lead before opening up and taking on Samoa at their own game. Expect them to bank any early opportunities to score points from the tee.

WALES v AUSTRALIA (Saturday, 17.15)

Australia to win by 1-10 points –

The Wallabies have won their last 12 matches against Wales, with 10 of those victories falling within this bracket.

Last team to score: Australia –

Australia have stolen games at the death in Cardiff before and, having played nine Tests since Wales last took to the field, their superior fitness should see them finish strongly again.

IRELAND v SOUTH AFRICA (Saturday, 17.30)

Match to be won by 1-6 points –

South Africa drew twice with Australia and lost by one point to New Zealand in the Rugby Championship, while all three Tests between these two last summer were decided by just six points.

South Africa to score the first try –

The Springboks have scored at least 35 points in their last five matches, whereas Ireland will be trialling a new midfield partnership thanks to Bundee Aki’s international debut.

FRANCE v NEW ZEALAND (Saturday, 19.45)

New Zealand to score 40+ points –

The All Blacks averaged 41 points per game against their Southern Hemisphere rivals in the Rugby Championship. France conceded at least 35 in all three of their summer Tests against much weaker opposition in South Africa.

Rieko Ioane to score a try at any time –

Ioane ended up as joint-top try scorer in the Rugby Championship with five, taking his record to 10 tries in 10 Tests for New Zealand, only eight of which have been starts.
