UK Championship title sponsor Betway are set to donate £15,970 to charity Jessie May Children’s Hospice At Home.

Before the tournament in York, Betway pledged to donate £10 for every century break, plus £10 for every point scored over 100, throughout the 12 days of action.

Ninety-nine centuries were made, with Michael White topping the charts with a 142.

Ronnie O'Sullivan scored the most tons, making 10 on his way to winning the title for the sixth time.

The money will help World Snooker's official charity Jessie May to provide a hospice-at-home service for terminally-ill children, offering care to families in the Bristol area.

"After a thrilling Betway UK Championship, we are once again delighted to be able to make this donation to such a fantastic cause," said Betway CEO Anthony Werkman.

Jessie May's Julian Withers said: "A huge thank you to Betway for sponsoring the UK Championship and to the players for scoring so highly, enabling this fantastic donation.

"This donation will ensure that our families will continue to receive vital respite across the festive period and well into the new year.

Christmas is about making precious family memories and the support of Betway and World Snooker has helped to ensure that can happen.

"Thank you to everyone involved."

World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn added: "This is a tremendously generous donation from Betway and I know how important this will be for Jessie May's operation.

"The Betway UK Championship was a superb tournament and congratulations to the players on the number of centuries made."
