KEVIN ANDERSON v JOHN ISNER

Anderson to win 3-1 –

Anderson has to be fancied to come through this semi-final, after recovering from two sets down to defeat Roger Federer in the previous round.

The South African has overcome a difficult draw to get this far, seeing off Philipp Kolschreiber and Gael Monfils in previous rounds, and won last year’s US Open semi-final 3-1 against Pablo Carreno Busta.

Isner’s superb serve means he is likely to win a set, but Anderson should progress to his fourth final of the season.

NOVAK DJOKOVIC v RAFAEL NADAL

Nadal to win –

Nadal has won the last two meetings between these players, including in the semi-final of May’s Italian Open, and looks in good enough form to extend that run on Friday.

The Spaniard has lost just one of his last 24 grand slam matches, and came through a gruelling encounter with Juan Martin Del Potro on Wednesday.

Djokovic took a while to get into gear before running away with victory over Kei Nishikori in the quarter-final, and has not reached the final of any of the last six slams.
