Jack Green gives his UFC betting tips for the main event in Brooklyn, as well as two other fights from the main card.
Henry Cejudo v TJ Dillashaw
Bantamweight champion Dillashaw has emerged as one of the biggest stars in the UFC after back-to-back wins over arch-rival Cody Garbrandt, and he can become the fourth fighter ever to hold belts in two weight classes simultaneously by winning on Saturday night.
In his way is Cejudo, who caused a huge shock by beating long-time flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson in August.
The 31-year-old used his excellent wrestling to outpoint Johnson, but that is unlikely to be enough against Dillashaw, who will hold a significant size advantage in this bout.
Dillashaw is not only a great wrestler, but also an elite striker who has knocked out some of the best bantamweights ever in the past.
Expect him to fight more conservatively than he has in recent fights, as he won’t want to be caught in a Cejudo takedown, but he should pick apart the champion from range and ease to a win on points.
Greg Hardy v Allen Crowder
This is Hardy’s UFC debut after three wins from three in professional MMA to date.
The former NFL star ended all three of those bouts inside a minute, and should make similarly light work of Crowder.
The 29-year-old is 9-3 in his career with one no contest, but was knocked out by Justin Willis in his last fight and has now been stopped on three occasions, so Hardy to win in the first round looks a safe bet.
Paige VanZant v Rachael Ostovich
This should be one of the closer fights of the night.
VanZant was an exciting prospect before losing three of her last four fights, but she’s still only 24 and has plenty of potential.
She’s one of the better strikers in the flyweight division, and clearly holds the advantage over Ostovich in that regard.
Ostovich, a former contestant on The Ultimate Fighter, is a big, strong flyweight who will look to pin VanZant to the mat and secure the third submission win of her career.
VanZant has plenty of Octagon experience regardless of her age, though, and she should manage to avoid spending too much time on her back and earn a win on points.
